That is absolutely absurd!!! I bought a blender at Target and I crush ice in it frequently and I've never had a problem. Oh the things I could buy with the money that blender costs! Much love my dear!

turns out that (a) she got it for a discount, and (b) this morning chris recommended i try turning it on again, as these things apparently have a built-in mechanism to keep them from overheating. i tried it and it worked. but, really...for christ's sake...
