Cross Stitch WIP

Jan 06, 2006 20:41

I picked up my current WIP at my local shop after acquiring my lap frame from a friend for my birthday. This is a "thank you" to him, as soon as I can get it done, which is hopefully by his birthday in November. He loves the art of Mucha, and I thought of him as soon as I saw the piece. I started on it just before the holidays came and stole all of my time away, and I've only been able to get in about 15 hours on it so far. It's entitled "Hours of the Day" and it's produced by Imaginating. I'm stitching it 2 over 2 on antique white linen with DMC cotton floss. Here's what it will look like when it's done:

Instead of framing each piece individually, I am stitching them all on one piece of linen and will frame and mat them all toghether.

Here's what I have so far:

So far, so good. Not too many problems; I only had to backtrack for a miscount once. So far, so good!
