I think I'm doomed. DOOMED I say, DOOMED. Finals will be the death of me. When I close my eyes, I can still see the Charms text book, opened to page 344, describing the arm movement of pyrotechic charms. Sweep your arm away from you body, then a quick flick of the wrist vertically. Or is it sweep towards you body...

I need chocolate...

I've got a couple chocolate frogs, if you want them?

It is 'sweep towards' your body. Can't you Gryffindors do anything right? You should probably practice the spell a lot, to make sure you've gotten it just right.

Mr. Malfoy, I'm afraid you're dreadfully mistaken. You see, if Miss Patil were to sweep too close to her body as opposed to properly sweeping the wand away, she could be seriously harmed by flame or spark. I'm sure that's not what you had in mind at all though correct?

There's a good lad, now run along and try not to overdo your studying! Why I remember when your father was your age, he got so nervous during that final exam that his whole head burst into flame. Then in an attempt to quell the scorching before I could get to him, he showered himself in flowers! Oh that was good for a chuckle, but we had him healed and I gave him a very nice grade for his effort. Hehehe, the children spent the remainder of the year referring to him as "Buttercup"! Oh you children, ever good for a giggle.

Do we really have to float during the Charms exam?? I can't float! He was having a laugh, wasn't he?

I'll bet he wasn't having a laugh, mate. I'd say get to practicing. I'll expect to see you floating to class.

Mr. Longbottom, the option of floating during the exam is just that, an option. You can find many a cantrip on the matter in chapter six of your textbook and most of them are quite simple. If I was going to have a laugh I'd say something along the lines of while researching all those floating charms you should always be sure you don't have your head in the clouds! Oh my, now that is some classic FlitWIT!

Right. All the ideas you wrote about in my journal sounded good. Posters in the great hall and on the house bulletin boards. But I'll tell you, they're scared of getting on the wrong side of Hermione, and she can be bloody scary. So what do we do about that?

Don't worry. If she tries to discredit you in anyway, just because of TOOTHE, I can take the blame for the whole organization. Just tell her that it was my idea and that you didn't realise that this could be seen as a vendetta against her. Of course, you could also try to stand up to her, maybe grow a bit if a backbone. She really isn't that scary of a person. Especially if you hear her snore at night...
