waiting for a meeting

I haven't been around at. all. for the past few days.  Wrapping up Practicum stuff and sickness have put me into apathetic ennui-land.

But I will say I have a Practicum site (YAY!) and it is awesome.  I was actually offered two sites on the same day, but chose the one I was most excited about that I felt did the most good. (note for ffrmusicwench: [and others ( Read more... )

I know, me too! I was so afraid I was going to end up at Joe's House of CBT Counseling or whatnot. <3!

Yay that is AWESOME! :D

I had a blast with Paul, but yeah, the reviews I've seen have said it's about a B, and I think that's fair. I went in with my expectations appropriately moderated, and was entirely satisfied.

I think, as far as Paul goes, I had a couple of laughs surprised out of me, so I enjoyed it. I can't ask for much more.

Always go with your gut feeling! I'm so happy to hear that you're excited about this opportunity. I know that the whole process was stressful, but I'm glad it all worked out in the end! :D

And your classmates aren't the only ones who are proud/thrilled at your success!! Confession: You've actually been a huge inspiration to me over these past few months (with getting my act together and starting fresh with school etc). Hmm... yeah that might sound a bit cheesy, but... c'est vrai. Much love. :)

As for the sickness, I'll give the same advice I always give: eat a grapefruit. Eat lots of them. Seriously, those things are magical.

That's not cheesy! It's flattering. But I would like to point out that while I may have been an inspiration, you are the one who got yourself together. You are the one who applied to school and got in. I am proud of you.

Hey, no problem. You worry about you. Get yourself squared away and when you're ready, I'll be here. I'm still plugging away, still working hard. The story has evolved and is constantly changing. When you're at a point to look at it, let me know and I'll send an invite through Google Docs so you can get the up-to-date version. <3's

Thank fucking Christ.

I sat through How to Lose Friends etc. Paul really cannot disappoint me.

Well, it could, depending on whether or not you're sensitive to stereotypical American characters. I was able to handwave it away because that's what Brits do: make fun of themselves all the time. So I could handle a bit of poking fun, even though I wasn't sure how I felt about it.

There's lots of cussin' though!

Since pretty much every American movie is full of stereotypical Americans, I can probably deal.
