I know. With the money thing, is the cost of living higher too, or is that actual money in your pocket? You need to think about that. If you have made some good friends there, you may want to stay there, but if not, I think you really need a support system. Go wherever you've got good friends (not a man!).

I think the key for you is going to be ultimately getting your life in order and being happy with just you - no man involved. Then you will have the confidence you need to find someone where you are, or who is willing to move to be with you, and who will treat you the way you deserve to be treated.
