I had sort of the same thing happen. It wasn't "sexy" pictures, but my posting a few blog posts that I posted seeking advice. I was considering on quitting the Fire Department here, and through the encouragement of friends I didn't. However, two days later, I was called into the office and told, "Don't make any more posts about the Fire Department and your thoughts on it. If you do you will be asked to leave." I made no posts on departmental policy, nor did I make any attacks. I simply said, "I don't feel wanted, and I'm considering on quitting." Then stated why I felt such.

Allegedly, it looks bad on the Squad, and therefore it's a punishable offense. My opinion is that it simply looks bad on the Asst. Chief whose preparing to run for Mayor when he doesn't have a chance at hell to win to begin with.

after all this happened and people were like "wtf, they cant bring your personal life into your work performance" (i kick some major ass at my job...im very good at it), i started looking into the employee handbook..and i think what they did most likely falls under their VERY vague "code of ethics". Its just stupid
