No, not American stores. Just the Philippines. Or at least that's what I saw. When I went to a music store in one of their malls, I did not see ONE gay musician. With the exception of the soundtrack for "Brokeback Mountain". But that does NOT count at all.

Oh okay. What a shame. I like her music. Though I'll admit, I don't remember much beyond the stuff that got a lot of radio play, and that isn't always a fair representation of what the artist has to offer.

I like her Lucky CD, but I don't know much of anything else. I want to get her greatest hits though.

In certain instances, I can see where it's tolerant, but still have long ways to go...dunno if that made sense.

It still bugs me that the Philippine gov't and the Catholic church are joined at the hip. x.x

It's tolerant in the sense that they accept the negative stereotypes of gay culture. It's not fully tolerant in my view.

so, i take it you didn't feel all too accepted at times? makes me grateful that America is as open as it is. We've got a long way to go towards accepting and loving, but at least we're trying!

Oh, no, I did not even DARE say I was gay in that area. Especially how my cousin Ariel reacted when the guys were talking about American gay culture.

Oh yeah, I think we're a little bit more progressive than other countries. Especially after going to the P.I.
