my grandmother died today. she's been ill for some time, so it came as no shock, but this feeling of loss is completely new to me. it's hard to see it this way, but i do consider myself lucky that i've gone through almost 23 years of life having lost only a cousin i barely knew

I am so sorry for your loss, Drea. You're lucky you were so close to hear and had so much time with her. I'm sure she was proud to be the grandmother of such an amazing lady as yourself.
