I wish that I still found things exciting here. Every day is slow in starting, and I have to drag myself up to take care of business. I am tired of the politics. I am tired of the people. I don't care if there are politics and people somewhere else. At least it is somewhere else. Not here

Eventually, you just have to move on with your life -- challenge yourself, grow, and discover something new. The problem with Lubbock is that once you get to be a certain age, you are unable to challenge yourself, because there's not much else there, especially in the way of a young professionals scene. Despite the fact that so many people pretend, there's no where to go from school in Lubbock. All that is there is academia... and Tech has sufficiently beaten that aspect of things down to where it is practically unacceptable to expect to grow and challenge yourself there, because of their intolerance and fear of people doing just that.

Oh, I know. I keep trying to find little things to do to stay occupied.. but it's getting old. :(
