Clearly you are a radio battery. You take in energy as radio waves, store it until it's sleepy time, then radiate it again as heat. Simple! :D

Can't explain the bruising.. unless it's a by-product of the above, I guess.

I don't know why you heat up once in bed...but it sounds like a useful trait to have around in winter? :)

I highly doubt your core body temperature rises, you would probably die if that happened. However your skin temperature certainly does rise and you belt out heat like a little storage heater. All apart from your feet that is, they stay freezing :p

The bruising thing isn't all that weird, really. I sprained my ankle just after easter, and ended up with a gimungous bruise that stretched from my mid-calf all the way down around the edge of my foot and ankle, and down to the base of my toes. It took three days for the foot/ankle bruise to come out, another 2-3 days for the toe bruising to make itself apparent, and another 2-3 days for the calf bruising, which I still have.
