Good riddance?

I don't understand the hatred so many people have for 2008. It seems that it is often the same people who say "good riddance" to every "old year" on New Year's Day. Could every year possibly be the worst year of your life

Duuuuuuude. 2008 was a really tough year for me, no kidding. Possibly even the worst year of my life! ;)

I am very optimistic about 2009.

I felt the same about 2003. I still do. I cried when the freaking ball dropped.

I just read so many "Fuck 2008!" blogs from people who said the same thing about 2007, 2006.....I'm like, come on man. Something good had to have happened!

2008 ended so well that I, too, am incredibly optimistic about 2009.
