As most of my friends know, I'm a huge fan of J.R.R. Tolkien. I made a point to check out his haunts in Oxford when I traveled in the UK, I've written academic papers on Lord of the Rings, and I've even read some of his biographies. All of this was well before the Jackson films were made. Needless to say I've read LotR many times ( Read more... )

So, I've been told in no uncertain terms that I need to have a Live Journal.

We'll have to see how quickly I can learn all sorts of fancy tricks to make this a more interesting place to visit.

So for now, I guess the first thing that I'll try is to add some people to my friends list, so that they may mock my ignorance.
