So.. it comes down to this.
Alliance or Horde?
Nec and I spent a bit of time trying to decide what side you'd play for, and we've decided you're Horde through and through, but Alliance if your friends are on that side.. So spill the beans, WoWMan. We need to know if we have to start a feud. (btw, it's good that you've fired it back up again- if you have any sentimentality for the Old World you might as well get one last shot at it before the expansion comes out).

Nec was listening to Empty Horizons just before bed last night, and it's blindingly good, they all are. You've been on loop this morning. A Clockwork Man is my favorite though. Just ask Nec, anything he ever wrote with a music box feel to it and I'm SOLD. It would fit in seamlessly with the American McGee's Alice sountrack. Fantastic.

Oh- and if you want to keep up the free 10 day trial thing, lemme know, I've got 5 or more of them just collecting dust.

I started out horde, got to 62 with a troll hunter. But, I was on a pvp server and ... I rage-quitted the server because for a week straight I couldn't play without getting ganked by an alliance asshat. Really; I'm not exaggerating. It was incredibly fucking obnoxious.

So, I went to a normal server, but my friends on that server were alliance. So, I started leveling a couple of draenei; I've got a 50 mage and a 66 priest. I'm going to be server transferring and faction changing my priest so I can play with friends out here. I never got to 70 (this was mid-2008) because I started up with school again and I'm not really responsible enough to have school and an mmo at the same time.

But, I'm planning on leveling to 85 in Cataclysm and doing 10 mans with Eric and some other friends ... provided I don't suck at it or hate it ( ... )

Exploring the new zones in Wrath was a religious experience for me. It took all the great things about WoW and got rid of most of the misfitting sci-fi elements of Burning Crusade & the drae areas. It's like walking through an old Hammer film. I envy your getting to play it for the first time. I wish I could again.

I completely believe you about the alliance asshat.. I've had my share too. Some days it's nothing but jerks. I stay on a pve server just for the extra protection of not being ganked unless I volunteer for it.

You get your mounts at 20 now!! And you don't get dismounted when you ride through water, and, oh, the quest mapping system is a thing of refined beauty now.. They've made SO many excellent improvements.
