weird ads that cannot be dismissed....

I was trying to read a friend's post, and comment, but was unable to get through to her page because a bestbuy ad turned her LJ dark and started a long commercial which my computer was not happy about.

Grr.

Ahh! I hate that ad. However, you can click on the x at the top right of the ad after about 5 seconds and get rid of it.

I always look for the x, but sometimes my computer screen is too short/small and it keeps moving to stay in the middle of my window. Gahh. I just had to close out, but then when I went back later it wasn't there so maybe that first time was enough to feed the monster.

next time it happens, look for an x in the upper right corner to close it as it starts to materialize--I have had to do this a couple of times myself.

I think it is the latest ploy to try and make money off of LJ...

Thanks -- I try to, but the ads are often larger than the height of my window, and they float and dodge. Danged things.
