Heroes Episode Eight-The Petrelli and Fire Show!

Nov 11, 2008 18:48

Wow this episode broke my brain in a way I dare not hope for. We got a deeper look into what makes the Petrelli family tick, saw Thompson kick tons of ass, Noah act a little less the morally gray and Elle was actually cute.

First, Flint and Meredith I totally called that they were related ages ago and it's nice to see I was right. I do wonder who is the older sibling, Meredith acts like she is but I'm not sure. I did giggle like an idiot when Flint was setting off all the Jiffy Pop containers, though I wondered who sells that stuff anymore. But still yay for Jiffy pop!I liked the idea that Meredith was really broken up about Claire being dead, since in Season One she was really quick to run away from her daughter after meeting her again.

Hooray for Thompson's return, I missed him a lot. I actually flinched when he used the fire extinguisher on Flint. He also seemed to dress much better back when the Company had him in the field, it's like Angela over saw the Company agent wardrobe budget or something since he was wearing Sylar type suits, Flint was even excited to get a suit which means Milo and his fashion guru ways have reached the writers room at last. Also I was gobsmacked by Thompson letting Meredith go, it made me fall even more in love with him

And yay Meredith being clever and faking the taser thing but then she had to go and light a train on fire. Honey, please we know you can light stuff on fire but next time use your brain or I will have to revoke your membership in the "Too Smart for This Shit Club: Jania Version."

My only beef with the whole storyline was the use of tasers, can the Company not afford any other type of weapon or something. Come on writers go out to your local gun shop and look around please there are other ways to take someone out without killing them. And last but not least CLAUDE MENTION! I know people will bitch about the time frame, but we don't know when Noah got his glasses and when Claude got shot, so I'm gonna squee all I want and that's it. *sticks tongue out.*

Speaking of Noah my love died for him a little bit this episode. What he forced Elle to do went way beyond his normal morally grayness. Not only that he almost did a dance each time he talked about Sylar killing somebody. It makes me wonder why the Company saw fit to give him Claire, seriously when watching a poor geeky watcher maker rip someone's head off is fun, then a father you should not want to be. Also Noah, next time you want to have someone kill Sylar please remember one thing. YOU CREATED HIM!

Elle had so many mental orgasms tonight it made me giggle. I mean when the goth guy was showing off his power I wanted to yell at the screen. "Get a room," at her. And massive giggles for Gabriel/Sylar all around. I adore his Clark Kent look and for once the connection between his current arc and what happened a year ago has been made! *does a dance of joy* See naysayers, see there is an actual reason why Sylar saved Peter. *sticks tongue out again*

I have now joined the 'Elle as Noah's Mommy Club," though the idea of Sylar having sex with anyone female makes me want to throw up. Still if Elle can do a little bit of good before she goes away for good then lets bring on the het people.

Bye, bye African Issac, you shall be missed, but it is another way for Arthur to make a point, you cross Don Petrelli and he will cut you. In this case he cut someone's head clean off, this is not a man you want to mess with. Though Ando honey why the hell didn't you at least try to help Hiro. It looked like you could move there, so you know running over and helping might have been a good idea instead of just standing around and twiddling your thumbs.

Yes I said twiddling shut up!

And last but not least the family Petrelli with a side order of real live Linderman. Wow this family is fucked up. Dad was outright willing to kill his elder son, which makes me wonder about the whole bomb plan. Was Nathan supposed to be the one to heal the world after all or was that a Angela addition after Arthur was out of the picture.

Speaking of Angela. *wild applause* You rock woman, though once again lying to your eldest son is totally not cool. I truly hope Nathan's plot line has a point somewhere down the line, because right now the writers seem to be making the point that he is very expendable and that worries me. I do wonder also if Nathan was lied to about his powers, if they had him injected when he was little, wouldn't Arthur and Linderman realize maybe his power kicked in during the crash.

Methinks Angela knows more then she is letting on and it manipulating her boys into positions where they will have to face off against daddy together. Speaking of brotherly love man oh man did we get that in spades here. Once again I had to force myself not to yell "GET A ROOM" at the screen as I watched. Peter and Nathan totally went back to Peter's place and had comfort sex after that hospital scene and 'Heidi was asking for you,' was totally code for 'Lets find an empty exam room and I'll give you a blow job.'

I loved the little touches this time around too, Arthur cutting flowers, Angela and Elle cooking and of course the Izzy memories. Let's not forget Linderman and his obsessive love for both Angela and Arthur too. Can anyone say threesome! To close I will say the pie thing was a 'Pushing Daises' shout out. Ned will have a job selling pies in New York if the show folds. Hell his power screams Heroes shout out right back if you really think about it hard.

See you next week peeps!
