Heroes aka Magic and Jesus Oi!

Still no Mohinder this week and even I'm beginning to wonder where the poor boy is at. Does it really take that long to watch a 20 year old film by yourself. He probably could have found the whole thing on You Tube by now. Robert does both the perviouslies *squee* and the opening monologue/unnecessary rehash *yawn* only this time it's the normal voice over type. Heroes, I love that you are trying to change the opening up a bit, but we really, really don't need any type of rehash at all. Your normal viewers are smart enough not to need one and I don't think anyone new is going to start watching the show at this point because they are smart enough to stay away.

Anyway, Samuel talks about life and death or something, I don't remember because Peter sitting by Hiro's bedside looking all hot and rumpled shorted out my brain. Peter has decided rather then easing Hiro into death like he's been trained to do, he's going to run off and find a Hero who can heal Hiro. Gee could it be the writers are regretting a certain death from last season.....the introduction of Jeremy and his super greasy hair do seems to say yes.

Of course they also foreshadow the heck out of the fact he can also kill people when he wants, which makes me believe someone is going to have to die so someone else can live. I would love to see Hiro die so Nathan could live, because darn it Nathan and Peter deserve a life of their own that hasn't been messed with by their friends or family really they do.

Peter steals Hiro's power, tells Emma to stop freaking out and talk to a complete stranger about her power and goes off to find HRG and the aforementioned healer. I must stop a moment to offer Milo a bit of advice. Please for the love of god get laid man, you are flirting with half the male cast on camera and I really would like to focus on the writing bad as it is.

Claire stops by HRG's apartment for her contractual appearance per episode and is the one who discovers her father has been hiding a hot male EMT in his bathroom. Seriously the actors expressions in that scene were amazing. Noah looked horrified, Claire looked interested and Peter's look clearly said. "Man I need to get out more."

Noah finally finds his purpose by deciding to help those he once bagged and tagged, Peter has a real brush with death that I hope knocks some sense into his pretty, pretty head and the whole healer plot wraps up with Peter driving off in a sweet pickup truck looking like the lost Winchester brother.

Meanwhile, Hiro and Emma connect over magic, mean nurses, pretty colors and Peter. Show can we please stop with the colors and shininess of her power now. We loyal viewers get it her powers are pretty god. Once again may I remind you your watchers are not stupid, if you show us something once we will remember it I promise.

Anyway Hiro plays Yoda to Emma's Luke and she finally decides her powers are worth sticking with. She also helps Hiro add his lost love Charlie to his bucket list and I remember why I loved this actress so much on Sue Thomas FB EYE, she can kick ass and be cute all in one take.

Hiro blips off to three years ago and spots Charlie's stand in from the back even though he should be more concerned about not running into himself and finding some clothes. Oh well, since the Heroes novel doesn't seem to be canon we will see where this plot line goes.

Sylar continues to bore me and wear really bad flannel shirts. Captain Kick Ass is drawn to the carnival
of Super Freaks only to be killed by Darth Maul when Nylar chickens out. What a waste of a great actor, and not only that HIS FAMILY WAS WITH HIM. That was bad super villain form Samuel, at least Arthur had the grace to get any innocents out of the way before he killed someone.

Nylar remembers more about being Nathan then he does his killer self, so he has a pissing contest with Darth Maul to deal with it. That scene I liked, Zach was actually funny which makes me think the scene was ad libbed. Samuel wants Sylar though so he calls a cast member from Pirates of the Caribbean to come and use his gift to wake up the killer.

Nylar, however, freaks out about all the people he's killed and decides he doesn't want to be that man anymore. While I liked the whole Hall of Mirrors thing, it really could have been used better. Mama Sylar and Nathan are currently sharing Nylar's head space the writers missed a real Jekyll and Hyde opportunity by not having them acting as Nylar's guides to each murder. At least Sylar sifting into Nathan for a second meant I got to squee over Adrian's name in the credits.

Long story short, Nylar stays with the Carnies, gets some religion and gets baptized and now Lydia thinks he's hot. This does not a happy Edgar nor Samuel make and I have a new ship. Next week, Claire and Gretchen guest star in Saw Six, Zach wears more of his own clothes to the set and Matt and Sylar have sex with Janice. *yawns again*

I hope Fox doesn't make me wait an hour for Lie to Me again, I have a feeling I'm gonna need it.

squee, meta, heroes
