Heroes: So that's where he went
Wow Heroes you must have heard me bitching because tonight's episode rocked. Samuel was in turns emotional and bad ass, Hiro, both of them, were sweet and bad ass and Noah was bad ass and emo, but that is nothing new. To start, Noah, can someone tell me what the whole point of his story line was, because all it did was make him look like a jerk and an asshole. Normally I wouldn't mind this, but adding emo Noah on top of it all gave me Season Three flashbacks that I really didn't need.
Not only that it was point less, we really didn't need to know Noah would have cheated on Sandra with Kate from Angel. The more I watched their awkward attempt at chemistry, the more I cheered Sandra for taking Lyle and running for the hills. Good for you woman, you and Mr. Muggles really can do better.
Also at this point how many partners has Noah had at because, the man goes through them like used Kleenex . Every time he and Not Kate started kissing, I yelled at the screen. "REMEMBER CLAUDE DAMMIT, YOU KNOW THE GUY YOU SHOT." I did like that the writers remembered Noah spoke Japanese and the Shakespeare quoting was a nice touch too. But over all. we could have done without this foreshadowing storyline from Boring Town.
On to the meat and potatoes of the episode. *applauds* Well done writers for remembering all of Charlie's plot points and dealing with them in a way that made sense. Not only that Hiro had a brain and used it and it came back to bite him all on the ass later on when Samuel of the Sexy Pants used it all against him. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Samuel is not a man you want to mess with people. He will hug you and kill your whole family in the same breath.
We also got some great call backs to Season One with mentions of sword carrying future Hiro, Adam and TADA.....ISSAC. Though hair people you really need to study up a bit, both Issac and Charlie's hair looked super flat....at least I'm assuming that was new Issac/Noah footage. Because if it was reused footage they stuck Jack into...I may have to slap someone.
The Sylar and Hiro show down was great, funny as hell and Zach is earning his money letting his sexy self get stuffed into that bus. And the whole "You will die alone thing" was spot on because in a sense Hiro was right. Sylar is dead and he is alone as it is Nathan's memories in the driver's seat for the moment.
I am confused, I thought Sylar and Hiro have met again since the end of season one, but Present Hiro was acting like he didn't know that Sylar was still alive in the present day. I'm sure the writers are right, but I just like to check on all the plot holes.
Sylar and Hiro team up to save Charlie and after a minor tif and a cowboy showdown, Sylar is off to kill a cheerleader and Samuel traps Charlie in time because it turns out Samuel made a big mistake eight weeks ago and since Old Man Time Traveler has just passed on, he needs Hiro to fix it before his family finds out.
And what is that mistake you may be asking. Oh just a little matter of killing someone named MOHINDER. At least we know he wasn't hanging up on Matt on purpose.
Next week: Nathan returns, Peter goes crazy and Matt and Head Sylar go on a killing spree/road trip. Oh boys will you never learn.
