sometimes, you're like a movie star to me. you make it so hard to view you as a real person with real struggles, because somehow you hide everything behind this intellectual facade, with justifications for your shallow attitudes and addictions, which is ridiculous, because no matter how you put it, and which perspective you look through, being loved is REALLY nice.

just be a real person for once.

Part of what I'm doing, the lifestyle I am practicing in sobriety, is admitting my character defects and recognizing my coping mechanisms. This journal, basically, is a forum for my genuine expressions of discoveries. If you interpret my expression as shallow or overtly intellectual, what can I do but acknowledge the implications of my words?
