Jehovah's Witnesses at the door. They confuse me - I've only ever come across them once before, and I just don't see how they expect to convince complete strangers of the rightness of their path. I am now the proud owner of two pamphlets showing that we need Jesus to save the world ( Read more... )

Jehovah's Witnesses bother me a lot, but it can be quite easy to get rid of them. If the pagan posters or symbols on a necklace fail to work, just ask them then following

"If there are a limited number of places into heaven as you say there are, and there are more Jehovah's witnesses currently in existance or before, as there have been... how exactly does converting to being a Witness, or even Christianity as a compromise, help me anyway?"

They normally don't like that one.

Hope the books are good. I thought I was going to be busy this weekend as it was, but I just got a load more work anyway. Eeek.

I'm too nice to tell them to bugger off. This is going to be my downfall, I can see. They're planning on coming back, even though I hinted gently that I was unlikely to ever be in again...

And they didn't seem to be saying I would go to a hell I don't believe in, just that the Bible had predicted all the awful things happening in the world - i.e. famine, earthquakes and the other really difficult to foresee occurrences. *is confused*

Anyway. Good luck with the work! I think I'm going to avoid people for a couple of days and just try to focus on books. It has the added bonus of being useful for studying. ;-)
