One Two Three Four

Gabe honestly couldn't take his eyes off William. He watched, transfixed, as he bent over to pick up a piece of rubble. Gabe could see the curve of his spine, through William's thin t-shirt, and decided that was the sexiest thing he had ever seen. William straightened up, and gingerly picked his way over to Gabe.

"Look what I found, Gabanti!" he exclaimed, using the nickname he had randomly come up with.

Gabe squinted it, and saw it was an issue of Vogue He rolled his eyes.

"What a great find, Bill."

William pouted.

"You have something against Vogue?"

"Oh no, I love looking at creepy, cross-dressing models, wear clothes someone obviously made while they were dropping acid."

William tried to keep a straight face, but failed. He giggled shyly, and Gabe thought it was one of the best sounds he had ever heard.

"We're heading back, guys!" Pete called, from down the beach. "You coming?"

"We'll be right there!" Gabe called back, before grinning at William.

William smiled back.

"I'm glad you're here too, Gabe. You're not nearly as annoying as the others." He grinned wickedly, "Or maybe it's just how hot you are."

"Hey!" Gabe shouted indignantly, as William danced off, gracefully loping down the beach. "There's more than my amazing face!"

He took off after the younger boy. William was lithe, but not a runner. Gabe had run track for years, and caught up quickly, tackling him to the sandy ground. William struggled uselessly under Gabe, laughing breathlessly, but eventually went still, and just smiled up at Gabe.

"William Beckett, you are the most beautiful boy I have ever seen," Gabe declared, pushing a lock of hair out of William's eyes.

William bit his lip, eyes searching Gabe's face for a joke. Gabe had an idea, that William wasn't always sure how pretty he really was.

"Gabe, you're--"

Whatever William was about to say, was cut off by Brendon bouncing over to them.

"Will you guys help us collect wood for a fire?" he questioned, completely oblivious to their current position.

William narrowed his eyes at Brendon, and opened his mouth to give a smart-alack retort, but Gabe stopped him.

"Sure, Brendon."

He stood up, easily pulling William up too. They silently followed Brendon, as he chattered on, and on about Spencer's splint. As they neared the group of people, Gabe pulled William back. He had noticed the boy's eyes, filling with tears. Gabe pulled William into a hug.

"It's gonna be okay," he whispered fiercely.

He felt William relax in his arms, and bury his face in Gabe's neck. He released him a second later, slightly afraid he'd broken a few of William's bones. William's cheeks were stained pink, but he was smiling.

Night was falling, and Gabe was nervous. He was used to his $500 a month, shitty apartment, with a soundtrack of robbery, and trucks. Now the scenery was sand, water, trees, and more sand. Along with a bunch of strangers. The only noise was the snapping of the fire, and some birds singing a goodnight tune.

"We could tell campfire stories," suggested Brendon.

Everyone just gave him a look. Except Gabe. He was too busy staring across the fire at William broodingly. Ever since they had returned to the group, William had been all over Pete. Placing his hand on his thigh, and smiling flirtatiously. And the fucking complements. Oh, Pete! I just love that tattoo! Your hair is so soft! You've got such a nice build! It made Gabe sick. And Pete, the bastard, was basking in William's praise.

"Maybe we should figure out, where the hell we're going to sleep," Patrick said, looking around.

"We are so lucky it's June," commented Ryan.

There was a murmur of agreement.

"Sand is okay," Spencer spoke up, "And you guys found, what? Ten pillows?"

"And there's only eight on us. Spencer can have the other two, to put under his leg, or something," Jon decided.

Gabe tore his eyes from William finally. They began to grab pillows, and find places to lay. Ryan carefully tended to Spencer, propping his leg up with the extra pillows. Gabe settled down under a coconut tree, so weighed down by fruit it was almost touching the ground. He watched the other guys lay down. He smirked, seeing Brendon edge closer to Ryan, who rolled his eyes, but allowed it. Jon was talking to Spencer, and eventually picked next to the injured boy as his spot. Pete and Patrick, ended up next to each other. Gabe spotted William, crouched over the water, splashing it up on his face. With a frown, Gabe closed his eyes, and turned over. He had already heard Spencer and Jon's breathing fall into a steady rhythm, when he felt, rather than heard, someone lay down inches from him. A second later, a slim hand snaked around his waist.

"Gabe?" William breathed, into his ear.

"Hm?" asked Gabe, rolling over.

William's eyes shone in the darkness. He looked so lost. Not like his usual, haughty, conceited self. He looked vulnerable.

"Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Bilvy."

Gabe pulled William into him, and William wrapped his arms around Gabe's waist again, resting his head on Gabe's chest. He fell asleep almost instantly, but Gabe lay awake, staring at the night sky above him. For once, his mind wasn't on the plane crash, or the fact he was stranded. It was on a certain boy, who had already stolen his heart. He sighed. One William Eugene Beckett Jr, had him royally fucked.
