The most important thing I learned on Tralfamadore was that when a person dies he only appears to die. He's still very much alive in the past, so it is very silly for people to cry at his funeral. I can't seem to put my finger on which book by Kurt Vonnegut that is from. But I remember reading it once. I'm slowly making my way through "Bagombo Snuff Box" right now.
