Thinking of this place as a game? I suppose that's one way of looking at this circumstance.

Naturally games must have a conclusion. In this case, preferably a way out.

Do you know of any?

I do not know of any. However, I did hear a rumor, where people may leave once they have collected all eight badges from the gym leaders of each gym.

I've heard that rumor from several people. It seems that it's the only thing we have to go on so far.

Quite sad, isn't it? To have to act on nothing more than a rumor.

I'd like to act on more than just a rumor. However this is a game; rumors are generally lead-ins into reward or adventure. To complete this video game you had to collect all of the badges anyway.

You sound like quite the professional when games are concerned.

Naturally. I am a god of games.

A god, huh. [he'll try as hard as he can not to sound skeptical of all this. It's interesting to, at least, meet someone who equals him as far as arrogance is concerned.]

Not literally.

But I am beyond any level of mastery with video games than one could imagine.

[or maybe not THAT arrogant.] Good for you, I suppose? [he does wonder what this person can do in reality, though.]

The more I play games, the better I can become acquainted with games. Of course you may see this knowledge as fruitless, but I've played a game based on this world before. I'm quite familiar with this setup and with many other things that only one who played the game could grasp.

You'd be considered to be 'in your element', then, I suppose? I'm fairly certain you still have fairly realistic things to worry about which the game doesn't offer, though. [Like food.]

In my element I suppose, yes, but even if I love video games so much I wish I could be in the world of games, I would never hold a candle to the idea of being in one.

Being here... this... is new to me. Even if I'm incredibly familiar with this world.

I should hope you're adaptable enough, then.
