She stands at the waters edge, pouring wine from her thermos into the water. She has her backpack next to her, and a bedroll. She looks into the morning sun with hooded eyes.

When she is done she rinses the thermos out, refills it with water, and and speaks out loud.

"Great one, Wilding Lord, this gift you have given me is more magnificent than my mortal frame can handle. I humbly ask that it be removed from me. please Dionysus

She looks out over the water, then picks up her backpack and wincing, she shoulders it carefully and walks away.

[appears on the path in front of her]

I'll gladly do it. Just tell me why.

Startled she looks up, then down at the ground. Gathering her thoughts, she speaks softly, slowly.

"I - I have found, Great One, - that perhaps it's best to simply be what I am."

I'm well within my rights to demand that you fulfill the contract....and afterwards I could curse you like this forever.

[carries rosebush with deep purple-violet flowers up the steps to the temple, leans it against the door. Looks around, to find someone to give it to, priest or priestess maybe.]

Dionysus stands close behind her and whispers into her ear, "Looking for someone?"

[jumps into the air and stumbles back, catching herself. Blinking rapidly, she straightens up, nodding.]

There, um, didn't seem to be anyone at home, Dionysus.

[chuckles]

There is always someone at home. Now, Sweetling, what have you brought with you?

Standing on the shores, looking out over the water she raise a glass in toast.

"Wilding one, if I may have but a moment of your time - I have a small request to ask of you."

Taking a sip, she pours the rest into the water and waits silently, patiently.

Turning, she looks at him.

"I did." She smiles, then sobers up.

"Great one, my gardens - my plants are gone, destroyed. I would like to know if I may perhaps have a cutting or two from your vines, and your flowers - to help me rebuild."

"Ah, of course. Take anything you want from the gardens. Then as a thank-you,in a shady corner of your own garden put up an unhewn log with a mask balanced on the top."
