Why yes, any sane person would go out of their way to crowded Waikiki - the only place besides Ala Moana that has ABC Stores

Uh, it's my experience that ABC stores are EVERYWHERE in Hawaii, regardless of island. That...doesn't seem like a stretch to me!

They're everywhere in touristy areas. So for example, in Honolulu, they're only in Waikiki and the Ala Moana mall and nowhere else. (Everyone just goes to Seven Eleven haha.) And on Big Island, they were only in Kona. They're basically just tourist shops.

ETA: Although I cannot speak for other islands besides the two, but I can't imagine it would be different.

On Maui and Kauai, they're everywhere! We would drive around and if we needed gas, we'd just wait until an ABC store popped up, lol. I just associate ABC stores with the west coast and Hawaii!

Haha, yeah I lived in Waikiki and worked Downtown so I always just thought of it as tourist trap price hike place haha. I didn't know they had them outside of Hawaii!
