Oh, I love it!

And I'm very glad you ran far away from the DE!sex.

I was very much hoping you would do something with Lily in it, so this hit the nail on the head. And although I don't particularly approve the naming of Albus Severus, I like the story behind it.

Thank you so much for writing it for me!

:D

Oh, yay! Thank you! I'm glad you like. :)

Albus Severus is definitely featured in my list of things I can't get over from DH, but I had the idea for this and thought I could try and explain it as best I could. ;)

And I solomly swear never to try writing DE!sex again. ;)

Oh goodness, I can just imagine Ron's choking laugh of shock at this name. And now I have such a desire to read the fic where Ron asks Harry if he's completely mental for doing this. Because you know he would!

You know how I feel about Snape and the Greater Good in DH, but what's there is there and I think you've rationalized that all very convincingly. This is a great little fic and insight into Harry's mind.

Ron's got to have an opinion on that name, hasn't he? I think that would make a great fic: "Are you bloody barmy?!"

In writing this fic, I'm not exactly coming out as a supporter of this choice of Harry's, but I am all for the Greater Good, I just don't like how JKR did it. I'm glad you think it's a good insight into a crazy decision. ;) Thanks for your comments. :)

It took me a while to get over 'Albus Severus' as well...what a name! But I liked how wrote it with such quiet vindication for both Snape and Dumbles, and the things they did for the greater good.

Don't worry, I'm patient, and I know I won't be disappointed:D LOL!

I'm not sure I've convinced myself with this one, but it was interesting to try and come up with some kind of explanation for it!

I've started your fic this evening, I think it might end up being the longest of the drabbles, so I hope that'll make up for the delay.

Thanks for your comments! :)

Awww... I really like this. It helps me to understand why Harry would saddle his second son with a name like that. It shows his understanding of what Snape did, what he sacrificed. I think Lily would have approved. Maybe in some way, Harry was giving Al his own way of standing out from James. And I have certainly wondered what Harry's friends made of that name, so thank you for giving me that image. Hermione would definitely raise her eyebrows, so McGonagall, but maybe McGonagall herself might be a little more understanding. But what I really want to know is how Harry managed to square it with GINNY. Of course, that's outside the scope of this small but perfectly realised drabble. :)

Thank you very much! I'm not sure I've convinced myself that the Harry we know would have a) named his child after Snape, b) done child cruetly in line with Bob Geldof and Paula Yates, but it was interesting to have a little think about it and try, at least, to explain it. I think you raise an important point: how would Harry convince Ginny? I'm not sure I could write that fic, lol. ;)

Thank you again for your thoughtful comments. I'm glad you liked it! :)

In my mind, Ginny allowed Harry to name Al on three conditions: one, they would call him "Albus Severus" and not "Severus Albus", because his initials would be SAP; two, they would call him "Al" around the house; three, she would name their next child. *lol*

This is so great - I can imagine it wasn't easy for Harry to forgive Snape automatically; what a journey it must have been for him.

BTW, the drabble I did for you is up on my journal. Enjoy!
