The warm and tender images of their lovemaking are a perfect backdrop to the critically important things they are talking about, and it makes me grin a great wide grin to see them trusting each other so much. (While trying not to think of what's coming up for them in HBP year, of course, heh.) I particularly love the little dialogue about morning suits and being sure. :)
And I'm so happy to see more of Jack. I really like the idea that he and Remus are developing a connection -- especially if things don't go all that well with Ted and Andromeda, of course, but even without that it's lovely to think that someone Tonks cares so much about also understands this man she loves. Both Jack and Remus could probably use a few more people who understand and appreciate them!
I thought it might be nice to post it ( ... )

I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. It's not quite what you asked for but Grandpa wanted to be in this story and so I hoped it would suit. I had been looking for an opportunity to address the marriage issue fairly early on in the timeline because I think it had to be done when they had moved so quickly initially, but also needed a reason for them to put it off without it being for any particularly angsty reason.
It was also really nice to have the chance to further Jack and Remus' relationship and it seemed a natural sort of conversation for them to have, and I hope it plays a part in giving a background to Jack's decision in Legacy.
Thanks again!

However, I'm very glad it and I met up eventually as it's another delightful addition to the Ducking verse. When I was reading it, it occurred to me how few R/T fics there are where Remus and Tonks get quietly reflective and just being together moments like they do here, and like couples normally do in a relationship. Especially when you get to about five months in, and are certain how you feel, and that the big question isn't that far off.
As shimotsuki said, the theme of comfort and ease with each other is palpable throughout. It's great to see Jack again and when he mentioned the meet-up with Ted and Andromeda, I half thought he was going to give Remus a mini pep talk. Instead, it seemed very true to how much he cares about Tonks that he was the one to put Remus on the spot first. And how perfect that Remus came up with the right - and honest - answer for them all. Of course, I was hoping ( ... )

I'm really chuffed that you said that it was nice to see Remus and Tonks just talking about their relationships, as I seem to remember fretting to Lisa about how nothing happened in the fic and was it actually interesting enough to be a fic in its own right? I did want to address the whole marriage thing at a fairly early point in the timeline as they did move so quickly in the beginning and it would seem only natural.
Jack's a bit like Tonks-family practice for Remus, really - a friendly whose support Remus can be fairly sure of, while knowing the concern is always going to be first and foremost for Tonks, which I think would give him a lot of confidence.
Thanks again for a lovely review!
Was going to mention this over Lexulous, but then decided that I'd have more space here. I've got another Ducking fic about half done - an HPB fic, which I think will be finished by the time you get back from the Lakes.
