Wow! i didn't realize it had been that long. impressive. i didn't eat much meat when we had our own apartment, mostly because it's pricey to buy( and i refuse to buy beef unless i know it wasn't from a former rainforest). but my parents eat a lot of meat, so i'm back to being carnivorous.
bitch I've been meat free nine years, and it would have been ten but when I was thirteen my mom had a habit of shutting me in rooms and not letting me leave till I'd eaten my steak, even after I pointed out that eating steak was just a stone's throw away from killing pregnant bunnies. After nine years how do I feel? Like I want bacon and I need iron.*
but you have the power to deny cheese, which is...stunning.
Anyway, vegetarian elitism aside, I'm super happy you are one less people devouring animals. And I'm glad that it wasn't just one of those "I'm a vegetarian till I graduate" things. Yay for real vegetarians! We can feel superior to everyone but vegans and homosexuals.
*Confession? I ate a couple bites of kangaroo when I was seventeen. But come on. It was a kangaroo. I had to do it.
oh and ps, the p&a forum this weekend is pretty much entirely about how big/not big charlotte's breasts are, proving again that the internet is srs business.
