[Swiftly passing through the weeds his red converse are so cruelly crushing, with a single brow quirked upon his forehead, and with his lovely assistant trailing the brown trench-coat fluttering in the breeze, he barely manages not passing the childish figure scrunched against the tree.]
Arthur!
[He presses his hand flat against the tree and drops the other one just above his knee to catch his breath.]
[The child upon hearing the far too familiar gasp looks up frantically to find the tall, string bean man from this morning. The one who loomed over him in what must have been a threatening manner...knew his name a-and even called him a lazy git for not being up already!]
S-stay away!
[He squeaks out before scrambling away, trying to find a bush to tuck away into.]
[Slightly stiffens at the name, wondering where the three of them are. Spots the small child and can't help a small sigh, reminded of his own childhood and those part of it.]
So this is the little one?
[Drops to his knees as to not intimidate him and smiles slightly.]
[Another one of them! Though he might be able to take on the man who looked like a lamp pole and this...v-very pretty lady on by himself, he's outmatched both by number and height. He can't win this fight no matter what. Frightened out of his wits, he desperately continues to search for some shrubbery to assist him.]
[Content with the fact that he can trail his kid brother's steps at a slow pace, he settles in the grass and uses the sleeve of his trench-coat to wipe away the sweat beading on his brow. He catches sight of Arthur just before he burrows in a nearby bush.]
[His bush fort set and ready, thankfully already stocked with plenty of sticks and rocks, the boy prepared himself for the trials of war. He had read all about battles in the old days, how valiant men died for their country, how the rigorously fought for honour and lady loves. And well, he didn't have Guinevere to call his own, but he, as a gentleman in training, most certainly had his honour to defend!
And defend it he would.
The first wave of attacks came in the form of relentlessly lobbing stones. From his position in the bush, he really couldn't see to where he was throwing from them, but from the disgruntled squawk he heard shortly after, it was good enough to cause some damage.]
[Eyes widen in surprise as a rock flies past his face into Dewi's face. Turns and make sure he's not bleeding and sighs with relief. As he eyes the bush in which the small child is in, an idea comes to him.]
Dewi, back away a bit. I'm pretty sure we're just scaring him.
[Clears his throat, hoping his tactics work this time around.]
Arthur, we're not here to hurt you, aru. Please come out so we can check on how you're doing?
[Out of rocks, the child burrowed more deeply into the bush, searching something else to throw or chuck. He managed easily enough through the first shrub onto the next, but still not finding anything else for his arsenal.]
H-how do you know my name!
[He gasped between pants as he wiggled his way from one bush to the next, trying to buy some time before they commenced their own attack.]
[He's not exactly sure what the difference is between a brother and a half brother. (He tried asking once, but when a strange look came over Mummy's face, he quickly dropped the matter.) But he's certain he has neither.
And he isn't quiet about correcting the other.]
Liar! I-I don't ha--!
[A bit too hasty in his burrowing promptly earns him a face plant in a pile of foliage. Spitting up leaves and hacking out dirt prevents him from protesting any further, but at least he's deep enough within a hedge that he doesn't have to worry about being easily extracted from it.]
Arthur!
[He presses his hand flat against the tree and drops the other one just above his knee to catch his breath.]
There you are!

This was not how I wanted to spend my Friday off.

Shouldn't have worn that trench-coat in this heat, aru.
[Follows after Arthur and kneels down next to the brush, hoping to soothe his fear.]
It's alright, aru. We don't want to hurt you.

[Draws his hands up to rub the ripening bump rising just above his left brow, barely registering the object that caused such an unsightly bruise.]
