Oh arama...

So like, am I the only one not surprised by this? Of course Sho makes a lot of money. And like what one of the sane comments said, they really work for their money. It's pretty obvious why Sho makes more than the rest of Arashi: he's a newscaster, hello. And Nakai makes the most because he hosts like, idk, half of Japan's shows? Okay, maybe ( Read more... )

sho, arashi

Arama is very eyeroll inducing. Most of the time I don't read the comments because I just know the anti-Johnny's will come out to say something. I don't get people expending so much energy and negativity for something they don't like.

I actually think Arama would benefit from FEWER Arashi posts because it seems like there's one every other day - it's becoming Arashi They Didn't - these are the same stories most fans will already see in the Arashi comms, so why do they have to be posted on Arama too? So I guess I understand the frustration (but not the idiocy).

Anyhow! When we were in Tokyo, whenever we'd turn on the TV we could probably find Nakai or Taichi. And most of the time Nakai wasn't wearing a hat or beanie, and Katy and I were frightened, hee hee.

I tried Mitsuya Cider once to indirectly give my support to Sho (heh), but oh boy I did not like it at all. Sorry Sho!

Yeah, idk why I decided it would be a good idea to read the comments, lol. People in there just love to hate, apparently.

And yeah...very true. Actually, that seems to happen with Kat-tun and DBSK too, and I'm like...why? Like, it's okay to post major news, but posting about every little thing is not what arama is for.

Haha, I actually like Mitsuya Cider, but I feel like it's a bit of an acquired taste? Like, I didn't like it much at first, but as I continued to drink it, I was like, huh, this stuff isn't bad, and now I like it. But Calipis is still my favorite~ :D

I guess I was surprised at the amount they make, but I definitely didn't compare them to Hollywood celebs. lol I feel the same way as you though. I don't really care for how much Hollywood celebs and even athletes make. Compared to what they actually do for society, it doesn't seem fair. When you look at teacher's salaries and other professions like that. But that's what the business calls for, I guess. Not like I have much say in it.

I don't know if I'd consider myself surprised that Sho was up there, but I do think that it's amazing considering who the other top 4 are. I totally think that the fact that he's on News Zero, like Nakai's on Utaban, helps them earn more money than others.

I hadn't seen that CM so didn't even realize there was a new song connected with it! Thanks for sharing! It sounds really nice. Still keeping my fingers crossed for a new album sometime soon.

My eyes went huge at seeing that Kimutaku gets at least $550,000 for doing one CM, but otherwise, the figures weren't all that surprising, based on how much work the boys actually do, their withstanding popularity, and like you said, the standard cost of living in Japan. Compared to American celebrities, these figures seemed like nothing, which is saddddddd. I didn't even bother reading the comments because I just woke up and don't want to wrinkle my face up already XDD

Ugh, if people are getting tired of the singles, then gtfo and go to NEWS fandom where they get one single a year or something loll. I didn't hear the song quite clearly, so I'll have to wait for a clean prev, or for the single to make judgement~

I agree with everything you just said. Of course they make a lot of money, they're celebrities! And they really do work an awful lot, they're always busy doing something. And when I think about how much money Ryan Seacrest makes for hosting like 5 TV/radio shows, I don't think Johnny's should be criticized. Heck, the Kardashians makes tons and tons of money doing nothing but being train wrecks on TV!

And I like that Arashi releases singles all the time! Why are people so negative? =/

yeah, I was thinking about it and some american actors get paid millions for acting in just one movie. if nino (or any of them really) got paid a million plus for every movie/drama he was in, they'd all be getting way more than 3.3 million a year. they're underpaid, but only by our standards, really.
