I have two words for you. Or one hyphenated word, if you will. If uttered by me, always said with at least a little contempt. Usually dripping with said contempt. Two words that have plagued me since I first discovered the wonders of the internet. Two words that make it infinately difficult for me to aquire anything from an online source.

Dial-up.

If you stand on a bluff, look to the northwest, and look very hard, you just might see me waving at you from Coon Rapidsville.

More assemblage!!! more muzik!!!!! you rock. I just put a second hard drive in my comp...It's only 4 gigs but at least i have room now for a few new games or muzik. You should bring yer comp over so we can trade and play balders gate. Also why weren't you in class today? It was a test on chap 7 and it was open book for 10 minutes. Easy as hell...I can basiclly show you everything you need to know for it.

I'm just left wondering how in hell you got 3.6 GB of ANYTHING in three days over a dial-up modem...

I acquired 4.5 GB of nothing but MP3s with a 1MB downstream cable modem in about three months. Doesn't include all the game updates (about 700MB+ worth) and trailers (Look at the one for Postal 2. You will (nearly) die laughing).

I'm going to sit down and actually do the math on this, see what the average speed is :P

Not all 3.6 GB of new music was aquired over my infernal modem. Some came from ripped CD's and some was exchanged over a LAN.

I've been downloading music over a modem for years now... When I get cable next week (hopefully) my lust for new music will grow equivilent to the increase in speed. I'm afraid... I'll prolly need another harddrive to store it all too..
