Time only seems to move here because the powers-that-be say it does. The news always gives the current date and all, but...

The weather alone is odd enough for me. Every day is the same weather and temperature, whether it's a summer day like today or the middle of February. It never gets warmer or colder. That seems like it would be impossible if time were really moving properly.

That is as much as I've been able to gather on these few weeks.

I'm looking for actual changes that can prove if the time moves or not. ..Well, it's not like these are all the possibilities.

I'm not sure if any evidence like that exists. Although, they never have revealed just what year of the 1950s we're in. Or, rather, supposedly in.

So as long as you've been here, the time has been 'somewhere around 1950's', correct?

When you arrived to Mayfield?

You certainly seem rather taken with the sound of your own voice.

[There's a laugh.]

Well, I don't know about that.

But how rude of me, this is the second time we have spoken, and we haven't even exchanged names. I am... Nakura.

It's good to meet you.

An odd name for an odd land. Mine's Askeladd.

Odd, really? See who is talking~

Then, Askeladd, you were speaking about Valhalla before.. You're not from America, right? At least you're not from Japan, I can tell that much.

[..No he's not an idiot, he's just playing with you.]

"The humans".

Is that just awkward phrasing, or are you saying you aren't a human, douchebag?

godtrolling July 17 2010, 21:35:26 UTC
I am human, at least some what.

And only somewhat because...?

Though I'll at least give it to you people are stupid for being afraid of the crap they themselves make. But that's people.

If I get into any more detail, that will cost you. I'll give you discount if you ask nicely.

And then they only add more and more to that fire with rumours and misinformation and end it by bringing the chaos upon themselves by simply panicking~ It is what people do, but it makes things interesting, doesn't it?

There's always SOME kind of doomsday cult around. Might as well let them have their fun.

Hmm, I wonder if there's one in Mayfield.

Do you happen to have any experiences related to these cults, Mister...?

Free. Call me Free. I've just seen a fair share of them. I'd guess people have been predicting the end of the world as long as people have been smart enough to imagine it.

What an interesting name. I am Izaya Orihara, it's good to meet you.

How funny that they would busy themselves with their own silly little prophecies.

Which woman?

I'm talking about the one and only!

Brown eyes, hair~ But I'm sure most remember her by how she was dressed.

wolf_faerie July 18 2010, 00:03:49 UTC
Well, I did meet a woman like that the other day...but she wasn't really a woman.

Hmm, really? Please tell me more.

[Izaya already knew Ren was also a fox, but there was no harm to try and make sure if that was all he needed to know.]
