[re?] introduction!
Welcome to my journal, lovelies! I'm so excited to have added so many new friends these past days. I really look forward to getting to know more people on here. <3 I never actually posted an "intro" in my journal before, so I'm sure many people will like to learn a bit about me and my life. I will use lots of pictures so this will be exciting!!! Without further ado...
My real name is andrea, my internet alias is godudette [literally, everywhere] and I am a 22 year old female studying to be an English teacher someday! I am all done with classes and only have one more semester of college left... I will be student teaching from January to May at a local middle school. I am teaching reading and writing to 8th graders and am very excited to start! This is me:
I have loved Pokemon ever since the card game was introduced to the US. I collected as many cards as possible and watched the TV show as often as possible. As soon as Tracy joined the gang, I became an instant fan of Marill. She is still my favorite to this day!
I collect the rill family, Cresselia, Darkrai, pokedolls, and pokedoll charms. You can see the progress of my collection on my posts in pkmncollectors.
So, I loved Marill because of the anime and loved its family members by default. But Cresselia..? And Darkrai??? FUNNY STORY! I made friends on Smogon because of Pokemon VGC (read below). My amazing best friend Huy (aka batpig on LJ) and I would talk for hours online. At night, before I would go to sleep, he would always "cresselia" me. (E.g. 'Huy cresselias andrea') Why would he do it? Because Cresselia is the pokemon of good dreams!
Through lots and lots of Cresselia exchanges, she became my other favorite pokemon. For awhile I couldn't stand Darkrai- I would 'darkrai' anyone who was being rude to me at night before I left our chat. XD But after collecting Cresselia for awhile I found a soft spot for Darkrai. I like to believe that the ones in my room are best friends rather than mortal enemies of dreams.
Pokemon has been a very large part of my life since the beginning. I have played every game and now I collect the merchandise. In 2009 I began playing Pokemon competitively. I have travelled all across the country to attend the Pokemon Video Game Championship competitions:
I love the VGC community so much. VGC led to my other hobby of RNG, which is basically understanding the coding and random number generators of the video games. I use the RNG to get shiny, flawless pokemon that are used in competitions. Check out my trade thread on Nugget Bridge to see some of the things I can do. ^_^
This is my family, at least on my dad's side. My younger sister is in the red on the left, and she likes Pokemon as well (although it is hard for her to admit it). My brother is in the blue in the front and behind him is my wonderful amazing, boyfriend, Chad. (And I'm sitting next to him in the gray!)
My mom is in the navy above Chad and my dad is hiding in the middle in a green shirt. Everyone else is a cousin, uncle, aunt, or my grandma. XD
I absolutely love my family... we have to stick together. If you didn't know it already, my dad passed away in a motorcylce accident less than a month ago. ;_; We're still struggling to adjust to this new life. Last photo with my dad:
Please bear with me as I struggle to cope with this loss. I look forward to any advice or compassion or comments you can leave for me as I try to figure out life afterwards.
So, yes. I have a boyfriend named Chad. We've been dating for about 2.5 years and thankfully he asked my dad for his permission to marry me a couple months before he passed away. He is a wonderful man with a great sense of humor, excellent work ethic, and has the ability to put up with my nonsense. =]
I am *pretty sure* he has bought a ring or has at least picked one out. Two weeks ago he took me to Zales and showed me rings, asking if I liked them. He picked out the ONLY three rings that I even liked at the store. He knows what I like... and has excellent taste. Eeeeeeeeeeee!
Thanks to okapifeathers, I have a pony OC. :D And so does Chad! His favorite Pokemon is Charizard and he loves fire types in general. I got him Charizard and Emboar pokedolls, which he named Lee and Bruce respectively. :P

- I work at a grocery store at customer service. It truly SUCKS!
- I love everything to do with English and teaching. I love to read, write, create, etc. I cannot wait to be a teacher. :)
- I enjoy watching television shows. Some of my favorites: Yu Yu Hakusho, Trigun, Dragonball, DBZ, The Office, The Walking Dead, Pretty Little Liars, Glee, Legend of Korra, Avatar, and more!
- Other fandoms I enjoy: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games, Narnia
- Russell Crowe is my favorite actor ever. <3
- I love video games: Pokemon, Mario games, Banjo Kazooie, Super Smash Bros, Zelda and more!
- I am majorly into futuristic things. I enjoy dystopian literature, am interested in 'conspiracy' videos and information, and like post-apocalyptic stuff. Zombies, horor, sci-fi movies are extremely awesome... something I inherited from my dad. C:
- I enjoy musicals, theatre, speech, and acting! I hope I can teach drama or be the director for plays and musicals in my future school.
