What you did. What's done is done, and I can't say I'm happy about it, but working up a fuss won't do us any good now. I just want to know what would possess you to go about doing that to her, and ask you to never do something like that again.

That was a very reasonable little speech, but it's not up to you to negotiate the terms of Vanya's training. As for why, I think it's obvious to anyone who's spoken to her about what she got out of it, but if you'd rather attribute it to sadism, that's your choice.

She doesn't mind it. And I know she's actually got a handle on her powers now, which is great. It's terrifying not being in control of your abilities. I'm not asking you to stop training her; I'm asking you to let us know the next time you intend to do something like that so we can help out and make sure that nothing goes wrong. And I'm hoping you won't feel the need to hurt her for another exercise, but I know that happens with training. Heck, we get beat up all the time. But we've all been through training before, so we can help out, you know?

That too. But we are used to training, and if we're there to help you out then this kind of misunderstanding won't happen again. I want to believe that you're helping, but when you do things like this it makes me wonder. I'm just trying to make sure this doesn't happen again.
