I guess you guys have been wondering where your favorite Katie's been? (I'm calling myself 'Katie' because my pre-launch name was GOES-K and wcg says it makes it easier for people to remember us if we assume human names. So I'm Katie, 12 is Michelle - 'cause she was GOES-M, and 9 is Jay - cause he was GOES-J ( Read more... )

It's reassuring knowing that you're up there keeping track of the Really Important Stuff.

Can't wait to see the album.

they go after Kate Hudson because she's the odd one. it sounds from the article like she doesn't care about being a "modern, empowered woman". she is happy when she makes her husband happy, and that works for them. but by doing so she is standing out. which means that the media will be all over her... though the fact that the rumor was started by The Star (the second most disreputable tabloid out there... coming in just behind the Weekly World News), gives you an idea of how much creedence to give to that rumor...

blah... paparazzi piss me off...they make me want to become rich and famous, so I can post a sign at the entrance to my mansion that says "unauthorized persons will be imprisoned and sold as hamburger"

If you're seriously interested in a sorority, I might be able to prevail on the ladies of Alpha Delta Pi to consider you for associate membership. They once voted me "Teacher of the Year," and they're dedicated to academic excellence.

I've even made a SPECIAL SURPRISE BONUS for my sweetie forever, fuse_sat!

Considering some of the other special surprises you've come up with for me babe, I have to wonder if it's safe for you to let the humans see this. You might blow their capacitors.

I mean, 16PSK! Who knew it was even possible? My transponder still tingles at the memory.

Also, I was chatting with the Indian Ocean EuMetSat about your idea of a KamaSutra for spacecraft: 1600 ways to acheive receiver lock. He thinks there might be a niche market, and he says I'm lucky. 'Course I already knew that...

That's because you're phase-strokin' your own transponder. If you ever hook up with another spacecraft, it might be good to know more technique.
