[ Yako starts talking before she realizes that it's the voicemail that's answered, so her voice is cut off. ]

--ing I wanted to ask you-- oh. [ She pauses to catch her breath, sounding a little more frazzled than she usually does. When she speaks again, she seems a little calmer. ]

I guess you're not in right now. Er-- n-never mind, then!

[ And on that exceedingly awkward note, the recorded message ends. ]

[ Even if she doesn't know what it costs Shizuo to talk about this sort of thing, she's grateful he's listening at all. ]

I can't control when it happens. [ Beat. ] It looks like its activated when I touch people, but not all the time, so I don't know what sets it off.

And then what happens?

Well, as far as I can tell, their powers go out of control for a while.

And I get really tired afterwards.

Y-yeah, tell me about it. I feel like I've been trying to catch up on sleep the entire week...

So you have to avoid touching people, huh?

Pretty much, because I don't know when I'll set someone off. [ Trying to avoid conact is harder now that she has to consciously think about it; it' almost as exhausting as triggering her power. ] I never realized how much I did it, before this.

Guess that's how it goes, yeah. [And then there's a fairly long pause. She called for a reason, right?] Is there anything I can do to help?

[ He can't see it, but she grimaces. ] I was wondering if you had any advice on how I could control it, but if your friends don't have any trouble with theirs, I guess...

[ She pauses. ] ... I guess having someone to talk to about it helped.

[Yeah, Shizuo isn't the best person to talk to about control.]

... That's good. But maybe you can ask everyone else about it.

It's not really something I want to post to the network about. { Pause. ] Though I probably should. I don't know all the people I might have caused trouble for...

There's a couple of other people I could ask. [ She smiles, voice warming up to be her usual perky self-- talking to people really does make her feel better. ]

I guess this works as a warning too, huh? In case we bump into each other again and I still don't have it under control.
