sunshine always follows clouds :-) today was a much better day than yesterday. first of all, i got to look forward to leaving early because i had last period study hall which means i DROPPED CALCULUS today. word. in christian living, sebastian started talking about being carefly about what you hear from the media about Church teachings. he was specifically talking about AIDS/contraceptives/etc so i started asking questions and we got to spend the entire period talking about our issues w/ that dumb retreat a couple weeks ago and the problems with always hearing about sex and why we don't ever DO anything else. it really felt great to get that burden out and i think everyone was itching to express it, so i'm glad we got the opportunity to. now, whether or not sebastian's the right guy to bitch to is another story...oh well
then in sociology, we went outside for class and we also had a discussion. she started us off talking about Benedict the XVI and we pretty much stayed on the topic of the church, particulary female and homosexual priests. mrs bailey liked my point about homosexual priests: priests take vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. straight priests commit to curb their sexual desires for the sake of the vows. what makes gay men any different? people automatically think that being gay makes you a pedapheliac, and that's not true. i think gay priests should be allowed and treated just like any other straight priest. their orientations may be different, but they all took the same vows.
got outta PVI at two and got home as quick as possible because i'd decided i wanted to purchase a digital camera that i'd found at bestbuy.com, so i bolted out to best buy and they were really really nice. on-line it said it was 179.99 (on sale) but in the store it was 189.99. i had brought the print out w/ me, and the guy gave it to me for less. as i was buying it, i said i didn't want the warranty cause i didn't actually have the money w/ me, and the supervisor was there and he said, "oh, just come in w/in the next 14 days!! you can still buy it then!" suh-weet!!!
headed to my LAST PHYSICAL THERAPY!!!!!!! wooooo!!!!!!!!!! i love the people there tho. you really have fun when you get to know them, particularly when jen takes your camera and takes videos, thinking she's taking pictures. oh, and now i've got a pic of my really hot physical therapist..muahhahaha...
::sigh:: i'm glad it's a good night. and i've got the house to myself till around 8:30. i like the solitude sometimes...i can just chill and do whatever. i am, however, going to get more annotations done.
