Can you explain to me how I ended up here? This doesn't appear to be New York City.

I guess so, I've been here for almost a year now.

Well, we don't exactly how, but there's this sneaky group that brought us here from different worlds. I think they want us to rebuild Discedo for them since almost everyone died and it's all destroyed and stuff. We're still trying to find a way out, but it's hard enough just to get outside the city without getting killed by monsters.

Rebuild this city? Do you know how the people died off, by chance?

We can't be sure, but we know at least part of the cause was disease--the Atropos Virus. There's a cure for it now, but it killed off a lot of people in the city before, and a lot of us almost died.

The monsters probably had something to do with it, too, but the virus was a big one.
