Harry Potter is stealing my soul

"Rowling, author of the sensationally popular series, has said two major characters will die but has begged the public not to give away the ending to her seventh and final Potter book."

Snape and Hagrid, I'm calling it right now.

GOD I'm so excited for this book! Srsly, I'm not coming out of my room all weekend >_And because I know that many of ( Read more... )

Ok, here goes...

He-who-must-not-be-named dies, but Harry isn't the one to kill him.
Me thinks Neville (yes, my spelling sucks) is actually the one to do it.
(Or! (I just had a lightbulb) Malfoy! That would be good, since I think he's going to turn away from the dark side anyway)Teehee. The way I wrote it, it kinda sounds like "Use the force Malfoy! Use the force!

And I think your Hagrid dying theory is a good one. I hadn't thought of that, but it kinda would be perfect.

And I'm kinda up in the air about whether Snape is good or bad or in the middle. What do you think?

Snape is good. Snape is most definitely good. And after it is finally shown that he is indeed good, he will die protecting Harry (or possibly protecting Draco...). He is definitely going to be the one kind of "guiding" Harry to find the other horcruxes ( ... )

I think you're right about Hagrid, but the other one, I'll put my money on either Ron or Neville ( ... )

Dude, Snape is absolutely good. There is NO doubt in my mind about it. I say this because JKR is so very, very, very good about weaving hints into her stories that will foreshadow later events/revelations. To prove my point, I will use the tried and true HBP argument ( ... )

I agree with what you said about JK not being the "type for making her characters infallible," and indeed...Snape killing Dumbledore DID/WILL work perfectly for that. All throughout the books, it is shown that Snape is...well...a bastard. Just an absolute bastard. He HATES Harry, because he HATED Harry's dad. But that makes it important to remember Sirius' quote from Order of the Phoenix (I would give a page number, but I loaned my copy to my boss at work >_<). I think the wording is something like this ( ... )

I predict that Snape kills Dumbledore. Also, Hermoine dies from barbed-wire rape by pyramid head.

I'M SO FREAKING EXCITED.... just finished re-reading 6 (for i think the like 5th time)...

interesting theories... the hagrid idea is interesting im thinking that's how it works...

here's a review of book 7 http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/18/books/18cnd-potter.html?pagewanted=1&_r=3 does it give us any extra hints, what about the end with the motorcycle?

I have no idea who RAB is, but it has to be someone we know.. that has just been overlooked.. its GOT to be.. i don't think it's random..

also i bet money that ron and hermonie don't die (nor nevile) but hagrid is an interesting option...
