PHASE II!

i got a yarn needle and sewed most of the smaller squares together into bigger ones - it was like making a puzzle *smiles* so now i have these blocks that i keep dumping out of the bag and rearranging. still nowhere near enough to start sewing the big ones together, but i'm out of yarn for the moment. it's going to be a pretty nice blanket, though

Aaaah, precisely moominesque! Do you just make up the patterns as you go or do you have a thought in mind for a square when you get started on it?

the patchwork squares are pretty random - basically whatever bits fit to make the right-sized block. i think the rest of the planning goes something like - "aqua and white diagonal stripe - uh, no aqua, OK, orange and white diagonal stripe, oops no white..." i just make them *laughing*

Ooh, that is lovely; I've been wanting to knit but haven't tried since I was twelve and was looking for a good project. This looks about right.

go for it! i have like no knitting skills - i can cast off and on, i can knit and purl and increase and decrease and that's all that project needs *laughing* it's mostly garter stitch, anyway. and it's fun just knitting random squares. you could make little wolf a blanket in no time!

Mm, I figure little squares - I can do them betweentimes, like. Wolfblanket is totally a thing that needs to happen now.
What do you use, scraps or just bits of whole skeins? I like the multicolour thing. Very Moomin indeed. <3
