Hey! you've been busy.
Wow, that is a beautiful afghan. Did you have a plan, or was it kind of a sampler?
Must of taken some time.

How are things at the house?
Is miss princess still coming out with her wisdom for aliens?
Are you writing? I think about your fic and wonder how that world is turning.
I have not been on Y!gal for some time, so it is good to see you post.

mmhmm, been workin' on this sucker since june! no plan, really - i just knitted small squares and bigger ones and sewed them together into even bigger ones, then sewed all those together into a whopping rectangle *laughing* just a crazy quilt, i guess!

things are ok here - i seriously wish i had a real job; i'm kind of tired of housecleaning, but oh well. miss d is in first grade and still sharing alien wisdom with us, but at the moment she's in the argumentative stage. not been writing much - weirdly, it kind of dried when i quit smoking a year ago. nonsense, eh?
i keep trying, however! thank you for asking! *hugs*

It looks wonderful and I admire the patience it took to sew it all together, that's the part I really don't like!

You quit smoking? Good for you, wish my kids would quit, too!

What's your next knitting project. Try socks...really!

yeah i quit a year ago in june, and i miss it every day.
i actually liked sewing it together - the serious pain is the ass was that i decided to sew it to a backing to stabilise it and add warmth. not only did i have to sew it all around, i tacked it down at every place the block-corners met - it looks kind of quilted when you turn it over, and it really does make it stronger and hold it in shape.
hmmm, next project? i still have a couple of holiday gift-scarves to do, and then miss d. wants a quilt too. i think i'm gonna learn to crochet if i have to do another of those suckers!

It would probably be a more valuable use of my rare spare time than hiding under a duvet and watching NCIS episodes.

this blanket was sewn together exclusively during dozens of NCIS reruns - i will forever picture mcgee, ziva, dinozzo, gibbs, ducky and abby when i get into bed...
seriously, that is my favourite show! it is definitely possible to combine NCIS, duvet, and knitting. *nodnodnod*
