Ahah, today I bought Persona 4 XD I never played any other Shin Megami Tensei game besides the Persona series, though. But who cares about routes, it's all about killing stuff <3
o_o I didn't even know Persona and Megami Tensei were related. xD
I usually like games where you don't run around and get into monster battles, but the battles in SMT:DS were just... annoying especially if you keep dying
I think it was a great game. Sure, your choices don't have impact at that moment, but as you progress, your choices will become more and more important. Whether you decide to become the Messiah or the Antichrist, or just send the demons away, it's all you.
Perhaps it's me, but I didn't find them to be stereotypical. Atsuro isn't a genius hacker. He's a loyal best friend that follows you wherever you go. He also has dreams of using the COMPs to control demons for the government, but still. Midori isn't an imbecile later, but she got on my nerves after a while. Keisuke... was awesome.
Oh, just a random fact. Shin Megami Tensei has been around for over ten years, so I wouldn't call that copying, yeah.
I do agree with the grinding. It gets boring.
The Persona series is awesome. You have to try it. It might be better than Devil Survivor in my opinion, but that's not worth much.
Yeah, but the thing is sometimes the choices you have to make are really... well kind of pointless (or should I say weird?). Something like 'let's go check it out' or 'should we take a peek?', if I'm not wrong. I mean, what. o_o
I dunno OTL They were stereotypical to me, esp. Midori. And Haru just annoyed me. I agree with Keisuke being awesome though. xD
Oh. Then I must have made the wrong move of not playing it first xP It's similar to TWEWY in many, many ways, though (wtf bearded owner of refreshments establishment).
Grinding. Agh. I always end up grinding until I'm a few levels higher than the boss battle because I'm afraid of having to grind more afterwards >_>;
Does it come on the DS? Because that's the only console I have OTL

Expect to keep dying a lot then, because most MegaTen games are known for making gamers cry XDD
