Love (and not exclusively in the sense that it exists between humans) will always be an essentially arbitrary perspective.

But it always was, so if you've ever had it you'll have it again in as real a way as can be imagined; because love and imagination both being inventions of consciousness, are essentially analogous.

So, I guess instead of connecting dots we ought to be drawing pictures without them.
