That made me laugh.

I need to make a new Thanksgiving tradition for myself, too. Nothing's really going on today except for my Mum cooking. No company; no surprise.

=[, and why would cantelope ruin a fruit salad, does she just not like it? Or did she reall think it ruined it? I like the idea.

ah...I don't know what my mother's deal is. My grandma makes fruit salad and she doesn't add cantalopue. (I thought she did though) And so my mom thinks that this combination of fruit won't taste good. *rolls eyes*
in the words of my stepdad "Fruit salad is a bunch of fruit MIXED together! OF COURSE it will taste good..."
