I -STRONGLY- encourage people to read over and sign the following petition if they belive that the cause is just. It is addressed to the Canadian Blood Servers which currently have a policy regarding donating blood that "all men who have had sex with another man, even once, since 1977 are indefinitely deferred [from donating blood]." Yeah, it's pretty unfortunate that they still have this kind of policy here given all the other advancements we've made on civil rights.

I agree with you. But online petitions are usually pointless.

If you really want to change things, write a letter to your federal government representative. Or go to donate and answer honestly; maybe they'll change their minds when they see how many willing people they're turning away.

Maybe so, doesn't mean you still don't try. Honestly it takes 3 minutes to do and even if nothing comes out of it, you still put in the effort. Doing the other methods IN ADDITION is a good thing as well.
