Hi all,

I'll be moving to the Gold coast in early March 09 from Brisbane  (I've only lived in Brisbane for the past 18months and am originally from Canberra) and I'm wondering about the night life. Can anyone recommend any good clubs, pubs etc  preferably of an alternative persuasion?

sadly there's hardly any alternative clubs down here *sigh* I often travel the hour to Brizzy for them

the only thing that's on at the moment is a metal club called Blackout http://www.myspace.com/blackoutniteclub
and a new one that they are also starting called Club Viper www.myspace.com/clubviper

Club Viper looks like it might be alright :) Im gonna check it out

otherwise, you'll have to travel to Brisbane :( there's a few alternative clubs up there if you don't already know them
