I know what it's like being scared to submit peices. I wrote the best peice I've ever done in short fiction last term and part of our final was writing a cover letter to a magazine that we picked out to submit. I still haven't done it because of a SINGLE COMMENT my brother made. My mom went to grad school because she was afraid to jump into the real world. That comes from the same place as not wanting to submit/our being worried about the job market. I think being worried is part of the process. Our parents have already kicked us out of the nest and we've been learning how to flap our wings for 3 years, now we have to decide if we're actually going to fly or not.

I agree with you, and I think that graduate school would not be go right away, so I guess I am simply doubting my judgement instead of my own plan. Thanks for the comment.
