I feel that I can post this on here now, since I've spoken with Richard and Mark about it, and I've now known for two days...Some of you already know!

I got accepted into the Disney internship as a Character Performer (yes, as a costumed Disney character), so from August 2006 to January 2007, I'll be living and working in Orlando, Florida! They pay ( Read more... )

Congratulations!!!! That makes me really excited and I'm nowhere near there! :-) That sounds fantastic. Just don't get overheated--which reminds me: you'd better describe which characters you are!--and also ride Splash Mountain a few times for me. (That and Haunted House were my favorites.)

A friend of mine used to want to be a Disney Imagineer. He'll be quite jealous, I think, even though the jobs are quite different.

Heatstroke is my only concern, but I think they treat the characters pretty well-- twenty minutes out mingling and thirty in the A/C, I think. Of course, if I get too hot I'll just dream of the water parks, and of course, Splash Mountain. ;-) And of course, I'll have pictures!

Congratulations! I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time -- just keep hydrated!

I'll have to tell my sister. She's obsessed with Disney World (even though she's seventeen), and if you let me know which character you are, I'll have her stalk you next time she goes. ;) If only because it'd be funny.

I am really happy that the faculty approves! I'm glad that you get to go even though I couldn't but I wasn't going to be a character. Congrats! I hope that you have a blast!

Not quite sure... Probably not a Princess only because I'm an inch too short. I'm holding out hope for Mickey. ;-)

San Antonio... My cousin (Megan) and I drove down there last Sunday and the audition was Monday (the 3rd) afternoon. Frankly, I'm still shocked--I thought I had an awful audition!
