So I work in a pub. It's my local Wetherspoons, and on any given night I can almost guarantee that someone I know will come in. Often it's someone I've not seen for a long time, so there's the inevitable catch up, where I get to say that yes! I am going to San Francisco for a year!

And I worry that that's how I'm defining myself now, as the 'guy

ps. obviously you will somehow have to talk charlie, deanna and jen into road tripping to the midwest over one of your breaks. OBVIOUSLY THE MIDWEST IS NUMBER ONE ON YOUR "TO-SEE" LIST! or ACTUALLY! if you wanted to go check out DC i could meet you out there or something because i know have sweet maryland connections! Thanksgiving will be surreal. I imagine most of the American folks I meet will be with their families, so it'll be an international student approximation of thanksgiving. We'll eat turkey, get drunk then go out and slaughter some natives!

The Midwest is a certainty! I want to see these cows with holes in their sides! Also DC would be great, I'm gonna have to buy some more camera memory cards to fit in all the photos of me striking peculiar poses at your great nation's most important landmarks!
