-=Hawke's outside today, squaring off with his Lockjaw. They both stare at each other, both unmoving as something unheard by the general public actually sets Hawke off. As the Lockjaw watches, Hawke attempts to practice something like this with the animal as a partner of sorts ( Read more... )

[Have a perplexed and not at all impressed-looking Castiel; not at Hawke, but at the dance itself.]

If this is required at the prom, I will be rethinking my agreement to attend.

-=Hawke would apologize if he weren't so conflicted for this.=-

It is dancing from Juliet's world. I do not believe...I hope...not all dancing is like this there.

-=HOPEFULLY!=-

It was not like this during Riza's wedding?

[He has no idea. Honestly it doesn't really matter what type of dancing is involved; he's pretty sure Jo won't make him try it anyway.]

I suppose someone could just refuse to participate.

It is the kind of dance Juliet learned. I wish her to have this once. -=Even if he doesn't like it=-

[She watches him go through the movements of the dance, recognizing it as one of her father's favorites, and can't help but smile.]

There is more to such dance than posturing, Hawke. The steps are only a part of the dance. And it can be more lively, depending on the enthusiasm of the minstrels.

[But that he's taking the time to learn her style of dancing - she is touched.]

-=He finds it all silly, but he will learn! He only hopes that she will learn some of his as well.=-

Do you think that minstrels will play the music for this?

I hope they will. At least one song, that I may have my taste of home. I have not danced in such a way since Queen Katherine had her evening of entertainment months back, when the music followed us all for a week.

[She smiles, remembering, then looks to him.]

Would you like to practice with a more attentive partner?

-=He looks over to the giant lizard. The lockjaw appears to be less than engaged with this.=-

I would. I believe [Darkling] does not want to learn the steps.

[Have a smile, Hawke.]

That is just one kind of dance.

There are, including the kind where you hold each other and dance as one.
