How did you find us?: Dear mun.
IC:
Character name: Jimmy
Fandom: Pokemon Chronicles (Anime)
Timeline: I'm taking a point at his previous game Digital Dive after the mass disappearnace of over fifty people in the Digital World.
Age: 16, I think. It was never stated though and he spent two years in the Digital World.
~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths: None unless his Pokemon are counted. His said Pokemon with him are Fire type Typhlosion (giant fire mouse), Bug/Poison Beedrill, (giant bee with stingers on its butt and limbs) and Ground type Donphan (gray elephant).
How would they use their abilities?: By Jimmy telling them to via pokemon battles. Their individual attacks are listed here:
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Jimmy_(Johto)
Appearance:
He wears a gold and black cap on his head, (usually turned backwords) greyish black hair in a spiky style, and wears a red and white jumper over his black t-shirt. Jeans and sneakers complete his usual attire.
Background/Personality:
Jimmy is usually a happy young man who loves pokemon. Very friendly but not naive, he dislikes anyone who uses pokemon as tools rather than equals like Team Rocket. Has a somewhat reckless streak when his friends or pokemon in general are in danger. Very competitive to the point where he thinks of nothing but the challenge, via pokemon battling or skateboarding or whatever he's involved in. While he's matured somewhat from his journey, he tends to get embarassed and flustered around girls his age and older if they show the slightest attention to him.
While compared to certain other trainers (specifically his friends Vincent and Marina) he tends to keep his emotions to himself outside of battling and to those he fully trusts. He has a strong bond with all his pokemon but particularly Typhlosion. A case in point: when Jimmy almost gets crushed by a large Steelix (giant metal snake, basically) he had complete faith that Beedrill would rescue him at the last moment, distracting Steelix and causing him/her to fall into the nearby ocean effectively putting it out of action for a time.
Note: Some of this is head canon to fit it better with his canon appearances.
The only child of a single mother, Jimmy dreamed of becoming a pokemon trainer to protect his hometown, New Bark Town. On his 11th birthday he and his two friends Marina, (his resident crush) and Vincent chose their beginner pokemon. Jimmy chose the fire-type mouse pokemon Cyndaquil, and began his journey. He earned the eight badges necessary to compete in the Johto League Silver Conference along with Marina. Though he did rather well, he lost to another trainer and his Nidoking while being in the top sixteen. Taking this loss hard, he traveled alone for a year with Typhlosion to better learn his strengths and weaknesses.
Like most trainers he has had his fair share of encountering rare pokemon during his adventures. The most exciting to him was the day he met the legendary pokemon Raikou. One day while traveling in Johto he encountered his friend Marina talking to his other friend Vincent while resting in a Pokemon Center. After some uncomfortable talk with Marina, Jimmy tries to battle her. As they battle, the weather suddenly starts raining hard and stormy. Their pokemon run off, sensing something amiss.
Jimmy and Marina chase after them, and soon discover the cause: two members of Team Rocket named Atilla and Hun had attacked the legendary Raikou with a strange machine, hoping to use it for their own ends. They release a pair of Steel type pokemon and attempt to stop Jimmy but fail as Typhlosion causes the device to explode. Team Rocket retreats for now, and Jimmy and Marina get help from the nearby Pokemon Center's Nurse Joy.
While Jimmy watches Raikou fighting against the glass as they try to help it heal, a man named Eusine (who Marina seems to adore his cape) tells them that people have always wanted what they can't have and that is why Raikou is distrustful of humans.
The next morning Raikou escapes from the Pokemon Center, and fall into Atilla and Hun's trap by trying to save the electric pokemon in the area. A large crystal is in place of the device holding Raikou making its elctric attacks useless. Jimmy, Eusine, and Marina arrive along and try to save it. Before they can release their pokemon, rocks fell from the sky but were saved by a caped figure's Meganium.
This figure turns out to be Vincent in disguise (a rather poor one) and they pour their efforts to save Raikou. After both Marina and Raikou get pulled into Team Rocket's helicopter, they track her via her Pokegear number. Unknown to them, Marina freed Raikou while she was trapped. Jimmy tires to stay calm, and rescue Marina with Vincent and Eusine's help. With the crystal still in the machine they use their strongest attacks to shatter it. It gone, Raikou attacked back at Atilla and Hun forcing them to give up their prey... for now. They escape and the heroes celebrate.
Once the year had passed and he learned all he could of Johto, he departed for another region unknown to him: Sinnoh. He discovered that both of his frends had arrived in Sinnoh, Marina wanting to apply herself to Pokemon Contests. So he registered for the Sinnoh to both apply himself in double battles and to keep an eye on Marina. However while battling another trainer he and Typhlosion wind up in the Digital World. Upon arriving there he came upon a creature called Coronamon a native of this Digital World, being told by him that he and Jimmy were partners and were chosen by a being called Yggdrasil to save this world from seven obscenely powerful Digimon called the Demon Lords. Over the next two years they along with his Typhlosion fought in many battles, being part of the organization called DATS, being friends with several Tamers such as Melody from the Orange Islands and Hay Lin a member of the superpowerful group called W.I.T.C.H., and fighting against a powerful madman whose goal was to kill all Digimon, Jimmy had an interesting two years.
One time while staying in the D'Ango Forest camping out, he find himself mysteriously on board the SS Thor without his partner Coronamon, but with his Pokemon returned to him. Needless to say, he isn't pleased.
Why should that character be in this game: N/A
Why do you want to continue their history here: Jimmy's rather settled in on the fact that if he ever left the Digital World that he'd be sent home. So finding out said world is gone as well as Coronamon and maybe his own as well would leave him a little depressed and looking for a bit of some reassurance that things can't get worse. He would also recognize certain characters as he spent two years in the Digital World, so there's the potential for some interesting encounters.
For applicants considering an alternate version of a character already in game, please use this as your chance to explain the key differences between your character and the one already in play: N/A
Have you read up on how the game works?: What is the name of the Guide plug-in that allows characters to communicate with each other? Also, name three ways your character can earn money on the ship.
Flaming Ferret. Also the three ways to earn money are mooching, missions, and stealing.
1st person sample:
Hey, um. If there's anyone out there from the Digital World please answer. Because really, the last thing I remember was camping out in D'Ango Forest and now I'm stuck. Here on a spaceship or whatever doing paperwork. And the day was going so well too...
[The video feed then shows what appears to be a giant flaming rodent around six foot or so peering in the feed, curious]
Easy buddy, first step is fighting out if we're the only ones from home here, and figure out what happened to Coronamon. Okay? All right. What's this business about worlds being destroyed? And are there any Pokemon Trainers here, or at least anyone who isn't a Rocket anyway? Some explanations would be good, if people can provide it? Thanks!
3rd person sample:
Even though Jimmy had not the greatest patience in the world, even though he knew that he still couldn't believe the huge line. It defied belief and logic is what it did, and he'd seen some weird stuff both back home but this was crazy. He must've been standing in line for hours and now his patience was wearing thin. With every second it wore on him deeply and as it was finally Jimmy's turn to submit his paperwork, he screamed as he realized he grabbed the wrong form: it was green rather than pink. Jimmy had screamed long and hard until he had run out of breath. Annoyed to the breaking point and on verge of crying, he sadly was forced to go to the back of the whole line.
"You have to be kidding me. Because I grabbed the wrong form you're making me go around again?! How heartless are you guys?" Jimmy said in a frustrated tone.
The alien ignores Jimmy's tirade and rant as he goes back again to the line. "This isn't my day, just not my day... If I ever meet the guy who invented this paperwork on this place, I swear I'm going to strangle them. I really am. Why can't things ever be simple."
Questions?: Nope.
Did you put your characters name and fandom in the subject: Yes.
